France pledges increased efforts in offshore wind

While the industry continues to wait for the latest offshore wind tender, France's government announces that it will double future tenders. Meanwhile, construction has finally commenced on the first project from the 2012 tender.

France recently made two announcements regarding wind energy. First, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe stated the promise held by opportunities in French offshore wind based on the Dunkerque tender, and second, winners were announced.
