Vestas beats order record in year dedicated to project execution

Despite orders totaling nearly a gigawatt in the US, very fast sales of 4 MW turbines in Brazil, domestic success and the opening of a whole new market, an entirely different order stands out at the end of the quarter.

On a stormy sea, it may prove difficult to identify the ripples of individual waves. But in the flood of orders Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas received by the end of the second quarter, at which the last 72 hours have seen announcements of 1,717 MW – about 24 MW per hour – one order in particular stands out.
