China's Titan Wind buys German foundation maker

Perhaps constant optimization comes more naturally to us than our competitors, says the European director of Titan Wind Energy, which will now produce offshore turbine foundations upon buying an insolvent German foundation producer's factory.

Up until this point, Chinese Titan Wind Energy has specialized in making wind turbine towers. But now the Chinese wind sector supplier moves up a link in the value chain by shifting its focus to a lower structural point.
