EU approves more than EUR 22 billion in French offshore wind support

The renegotiated prices on France's first offshore wind farms got crucial approval from competition authorities, although the EU Commission notes that they are relatively high.

In June, the price in France's latest offshore wind tender was revealed. The consortium behind the winning bid for the 600 MW on the Dunkerque project had secured victory at a price of EUR 44 per MWh.
