Siemens Gamesa fires 200 more staff in Denmark

The turbine maker's announced office staff cuts totaling 600 is hitting Denmark the hardest. On the other hand, the preceding round of layoffs is far less dire than initial indications.

Tuesday, Siemens Gamesa announced it would fire an additional 600 personnel over the coming two years. This staff reduction pertains white-collar positions in the OEM's onshore wind unit. The company's administrative staff stationed in Denmark appear to be taking the brunt of the blow.
