Equinor plans to bid on three of Japan's first offshore wind farms

The oil firm forms a consortium alongside two Japanese utilities with the ambition to bid on three of the four projects put front and center by the Japanese government.

Norway's Equinor is now making serious moves into Japan. The oil company has set up a consortium with Japanese utilities J-Power and Jera with plans to bid on projects in the Akita prefecture, the parties state.
