Vestas signs framework deal for 790 MW

The wind OEM wins tenders worth roughly EUR 500 million that will turn into things like repowering orders on more than 1 GW in Italy, where such projects are, however, becoming increasingly difficult to execute.

One of Italy's largest wind power operators, ERG, reinforces its already close connection to Vestas. The former has already nominated the latter to supply developments in both the UK and Poland this year, and after succeeding in a tender, the Italian generator made the same selection and drew up a framework deal for 790 MW, potentially worth more than EUR 500 million.
