Siemens Gamesa wins service order extension

Dutch offshore wind farm Gemini's service contract term, hitherto set to expire in 2031, is now prolonged with yet another handful of years.

Siemens Gamesa will be servicing the Netherlands' offshore wind farm, Gemini, for many years yet. That much was already a part of the contract the OEM entered back in 2014 to supply, beyond 150 model SWT 4.0-130 units, 15 years of service and operations work for the 600 MW facility carrying a price tag of EUR 3bn.

Now the service deal is extended to 2036, the farm's owner informs in a statement.
