Statkraft quadrupled bottom line in 2021

The state-owned Norwegian utility managed to complete a turnaround after dreadful results in 2020.

After a year of energy prices at levels far higher than usual, several players in the energy industry are seeing peak years. By all accounts, such is also the case for Norwegian utility Statkraft. The state-owned company came out of 2021 with a bottom line that rose to NOK 16bn (EUR 1.6bn) – a considerable improvement from the NOK 3.5bn booked in 2020.
