Prysmian bags Suedostlink contract

Italian cable maker Prysmian has received a EUR 700m contract from transmission system operator Tennet with the aim of extending the Suedostlink project, writes Bloomberg News.

Prysmian will supply and install a land system for transmitting renewable energy generated by wind farms in northern and eastern Germany to high-consumption cities and factory areas in southern Germany.

On the Milan stock exchange, the Prysmian share price appreciates by 1.7% to EUR 26.69.
