Denmark opens door for 8.5GW without tender

This week’s prime news story on offshore wind is undisputedly the recently held Baltic Sea energy summit; or more specifically, the ambition of regional nations to install 19.6GW of wind at sea in 2030, albeit this goal is largely a composite of already-declared national objectives, however upgraded with the one extra gigawatt the Danish government added to the Bornholm energy island on Monday.
