Vestas continues to announce orders in the final days of 2022.

After what has appeared to be the most famished year for supply contracts since 2015, quite a few order announcements have been made by the wind turbine manufacturer over the last week; most recently on Friday afternoon about a 32MW order from Italy.

This deal entails four model V136.4.5MW units purchased by customer De Vizia for projects Siri and Deca, installation of which is scheduled for the second half of next year. Whilst perhaps not the most well-known customer on the OEM’s books, the Italian company recently co-developed the Vestas-equipped Serralonga farm along with German partner Baywa r.e.

“I would like to thank gruppo De Vizia for extending the collaboration with Vestas. We are also proud to see how the versatility of Vestas’ 4MW platform and its latest models allow our customers to maximize the energy production at wind parks with different characteristics,”writes Vestas General Manager Italy & Turkey Francesco Amati in a statement.

This latest order is also the second from Italy out of seven in total sealed since the middle of this month, with this year’s announced bounty now at 9.17GW.
