Today less than two hours passed between Vestas announcing a 93MW Swedish deal to sending out a press statement about yet another order, Vestas informs in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

This time entails a 65 model V150-4.5MW units for a project in Brazil, more specifically the Serra de Assuruá wind farm in the state of Bahia.

An Active Output Management 5000 service agreement of 25 years is also included in the deal.

Engie Brasil Energia Sa is the customer, and on Sept. 30 the project’s other partners disclosed plans to build the largest wind project in Latin America with total capacity of 864MW.

“It is a pleasure to work in partnership with Engie Brasil Energia and reinforce the joint commitment to facilitate and accelerate the energy transition in Brazil.,” writes Vestas Latin America President Eduardo Ricotta in the media release:

”At Vestas we will continue working to contribute to the development of the Brazilian energy matrix based on wind energy and closely with our partners to continue developing large-scale projects such as the Serra de Assuruá.”

Delivery and commissioning are scheduled to gradually begin from the second half of 2024.

Vestas’ 2022 order totals 9.551GW at the time of writing.
