NKT reports best annual result in five years

The Danish cable manufacturer wants the option to issue roughly 20 million additional equity shares to provide economic leeway for future growth following the company’s noteworthy advance in 2022.

Although the group’s cables are often installed along the seafloor, things are now going swimmingly for NKT. With the company’s full-year 2022 financial statement showing record revenue of EUR 2bn and profit totaling EUR 62.4m, NKT’s performance last year was the strongest since 2017. Unlike that year, though, the cable maker delivered on its core business as opposed to reaping proceeds from divesting then-subsidiary Nilfisk.
