For the second day in a row, Danish OEM Vestas books a US wind turbine order.

On Tuesday, Vestas announced a 288MWt contract for two undisclosed wind farms in the US, and on Wednesday the company added news of a 158MW contract.

The order is for the replacement of turbines - repowering - in three undisclosed projects, Vestas says.

The order consists of 72 V120-2.2 MW turbines and a 10-year service agreement.

Delivery of turbines for each of the three projects is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023, but commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2023.
