Ørsted pushes for fast-track tendering of New York project

The risk of further write-downs on Sunrise Wind is mitigated by the fact that the value of the project is now just over one-tenth of what it would cost Ørsted to exit.

It wasn’t a complete surprise that Ørsted decided to halt the development of offshore wind farms in the US on Wednesday. It was perhaps more surprising that it was the projects in New Jersey, Ocean Wind 1 and 2.
