Vestas ranked as smarter than both Apple and Tesla

Blazing past GE on its home market and deciding to invest in energy storage are some of the feats that prompted MIT to rank the wind turbine manufacturer high on its list of the world's smartest companies.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has released its ranking of the world's 50 smartest companies, and this has given Vestas cause for celebration.

The university of 152 years has ranked the Danish turbine manufacturer at number 15 right ahead of Apple. MIT Technology Review's list of the world's smartest companies also places Vestas far ahead of companies including Facebook, Microsoft, and Tesla.
