Great-great-grandchildren of physicist Ørsted are suing Danish utility

"It's not in his spirit to use him in an advertisement ploy," says a descendant of the Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted, according to Danish media Berlingske, after the former Dong Energy took the name Ørsted last year. The utility rejects the accusations.

Danish media Berlingske reported this Thursday that three descendants of the Danish physicist and chemist Hans Christian Ørsted will sue the utility formerly known as Dong Energy for abusing the name of Ørsted in an advertisement ploy when the firm changed its name last November.
