Failure rate mauls Vestas quarter
Quality has been a hot topic in the wind sector lately. Of course, this is largely due to the announcements from Siemens Gamesa, whose acknowledged failure rates on its largest onshore turbines resulted in a EUR 1.6bn loss in the latest quarterly report. But also due to several collapses of newly built turbines, not least from GE.
