Vestas sets sights on Russian project development

Russia's plans for wind power expansion have turned out to be solid, says CEO Anders Runevad about the market, in which Vestas aims to extend its currently portfolio to around 2 GW with projects co-developed with its new company.

The wind industry's attention is presently fixed upon a small handful of markets. Beyond the US, where a massive expansion is expected up to the end of 2020, the sector is showing particular interest in Latin American growth markets such as Brazil and Argentina as well as waiting for India to manifest its true potential. Meanwhile, Russia's booming market has made it into the spotlight in recent months.
