Vestas fires staff in Denmark and Germany

The manufacturer follows in the heels of Siemens Gamesa's cuts and announces the sacking of 590 turbine blade production workers – some in Denmark, but most in Germany. The company justifies the move by referring to changes to its product portfolio.
