Dong invests in Asian offshore wind farm

Dong Energy has purchased a share in Taiwan's first, albeit very small, offshore wind farm – one that could potentially grow 15 times its original size.

Dong Energy's first offshore wind farm in Taiwan will soon be realized. The Danish utility has signed a deal to purchase a 35 percent stake in the Taiwanese offshore wind project Formosa 1 from local company Swancor Renewable. Macquarie Capital owns half of the project while Swancor Industries has an ownership interest of 15 percent, writes Dong in a press release.
