Vestas wins repowering order of 73MW

Vestas reaps yet another smaller order for the late-year sales ledger, this time entailing supply of wind turbines totaling 73MW for a repowering project in the US, the company informs in a statement.

The OEM has disclosed neither customer nor project name.

As up-to-date replacements for the existing facility’s obsolete technology, the order consists of 33 model V110-2.0MW units.

Ten years of service and upkeep are also included in the contract.

Delivery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2023, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter of the same year.
