Chinese offshore turbines to make European breakthrough

A great taboo of the European wind industry is being broken. On a small project being built by a minor player in the offshore wind industry, Chinese offshore wind turbines are entering the European domestic market. The German private equity fund Luxcara has signed a reservation agreement with Ming Yang for the supply of offshore wind turbines for the 296 MW Waterkant project in Germany.
